Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center yesterday announced a three-year naming rights agreement with U.S. Cellular. And unveiled a red, white and blue, lighted sign along the roof line of the 3,200-capacity covered seating area and stage at the heart of the Meadowbrook complex — "U.S. Cellular Pavilion".
Meadowbrook General Manager R. J. Harding also used the occasion of the center's annual summer season kickoff reception to announce the extension until 2011 of a concert series naming rights agreement with Eastern Propane & Oil. The 2007 Eastern Propane Summer Concert Series will include 29 shows, beginning with Akon with Ciara on May 27.
Harding also announced that for the first time in a dozen years, Meadowbrook will have a new beer distributor, Capital Distributors of Concord.
U.S. Cellular's New England sales director, Jim Holmes, said his company is extremely proud of its new association with Meadowbrook. "Helping to enrich our community through arts and performances is a long-standing value of U.S. Cellular," he said. "We're looking forward to a great summer concert series that our customers and all New England residents will enjoy."
"We're have a long-term commitment to serving more than just our customer," Holmes added. "We truly enjoy being a part of the communities we serve."
U.S. Cellular has been in business in New Hampshire since 1983 and currently employes more than 150 associates statewide. The company operates more than 30 company-owned retail and agent locations in the state and operates a network of over 110 towers.
The Chicago-based cell phone service provider is the nation's sixth largest wireless service carrier, with 5.8-million customers in 26 states.
Harding said corporate sponsorships, like the new one with U.S. Cellular, help Meadowbrook achieve its mission of delivering the very best in entertainment to New Hampshire.
Cider Berry of Eastern Propane told the gathering that his company knew Meadowbrook "is the place we wanted to be" after just its first year as the summer concert series sponsor. He said his company is the 14th largest independent dealer in the country and noted that Meadowbrook's customers "cover all of our areas".
Capital Distributors sales manager Tim Quinn said his company will not only offer concert goers its signature brands of beer — Coors and Coors Light — but a wide variety of other products — including Red Stripe and Guinness — as well. The newly renamed Red Stripe Inner Circle Lounge, in fact, will be, Quinn said, "a fun Jamaican place.
