LACONIA — The Laconia School Board will vote on its budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year at its regular meeting Tuesday evening. A vote to approve Michael Boyle, nominated by a search committee to be the next assistant principal of Laconia High School, also will be held.

Budget workshops with representatives from each school in the district as well as its administration noted funding for a new staffing structure for special education, augmenting the number of art and music teachers at the elementary level, additional literacy coaching for elementary school staff, expanding the middle school basketball program, a woodshop program at the high school and adjustment of its Sachem Support Block.

Boyle is nominated to succeed departing LHS Assistant Principal David Bartlett.
