GILMANTON — The Gilmanton Board of Selectmen have promotion of Heather Carpenter of Gilmanton, as the new town administrator, according to Board Chairman Mark Warren.

Carpenter has worked for the town in various positions, including as assistant town administrator before becoming the interim town administrator upon the resignation of Patrick Bore in December.

Carpenter previously worked for the state of New Hampshire in public information. Carpenter was selected through an open and competitive process and has displayed the skills, motivation and desire to move the town of Gilmanton forward in a positive and collaborative effort with the department heads, the board of selectmen and the residents of the town, Warren said.
