TUFTONBORO — Two adults were found dead outside a summer home in the small community on Saturday, and police have determined they died by suicide of environmental hypothermia.Â
The Tuftonboro Police Department responded to a single-family residence at 40 Governor Wentworth Hwy at about 9:24 a.m. on May 2, where they found the two adult homeowners deceased on the property. The homeowners have been identified as David Warren, 79, and Rae Lynn Warren, 78.
Autopsies were performed Monday.
"The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner conducted autopsies on Mr. and Mrs. Warren today. The chief medical examiner has determined that the cause of Mr. and Mrs. Warren’s deaths was environmental hypothermia, and the manner of both deaths was suicide," according to a press release from New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella.Â
Requests for additional information from State Police and the Attorney General’s Office were not returned by deadline.
