CONCORD — Laconia Ward 5, at Woodland Heights Elementary School, is among nine New Hampshire communities selected for post-election audits following Tuesday’s General Election, according to Secretary of State David Scanlan.
A ballot-counting device at the voting site was randomly selected for an audit under state law. The audits will be conducted publicly, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, and at 9 a.m. on Thursday, at the New Hampshire State Archives.
Moultonborough was also selected for audit.
Moderators were notified after polls opened Tuesday. One counting device from each selected location will be audited.
The audits will be conducted by a team appointed by the secretary of state, with technical assistance from Enhanced Voting, which operates the electronic ballot delivery process. Results are expected Friday.
