CONCORD — Officers of the state Department of Corrections are on the hunt for a loose fugitive and they’re asking the public for help.
Douglas K. Moore, 36, is wanted for a probation violation related to charges of assault on an officer and other assaults. Officers warn Moore is armed and dangerous and has violent tendencies.
Moore, who is a convicted sex offender and has apparently failed to register with the state, is known to have ties to Dover, and Alfred, Maine, but reported experiencing homelessness in July 2024.
He was previously convicted for failing to register as a sex offender, sexual abuse of a minor, aggravated assault, being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon and resisting arrest.
He’s described as 6' 10", 250 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes and has tattoos on his left upper arm, chest, both forearms and both shoulders.Â
Corrections officers say Moore hasn’t reported to probation since July 2024, and had a warrant issued in his name in September last year.
Members of the public who may encounter Moore are warned not to attempt to apprehend him. Instead, report any information to the New Hampshire DOC at 603-271-1804 or the nearest police department at 911.Â
