We do not necessitate a big-name college education to get where we want to go. The necessity for a college education comes from an artificial bubble in the labor market. Humans are perfectly capable of learning necessary skills without going to college or university. One can easily become an apprentice or work to become what one wants to become. If you're looking to be the manager of a store do not get a degree in management, work at the store and get where you want to go, it'll be cheaper. If you want to be a journalist work up a catalog of your skills, write editorials, try your hand.

Now one may question why this article starts with "big-name college" the likelihood your future employer cares whether you went to UNH or Plymouth State or even Dartmouth is low. Spend your money at a school you like and one that is affordable, you do not have to be Rory Gilmore. Be smart. Spend your money wisely.
