TILTON — John Ray Abbott, of Tilton, 65, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. John was born December 19,1956, in Concord, son of Harold E. Abbott Sr. and Margaret L Abbott (Baker). He is one of 10 children, with five brothers and four sisters.
As John would always say he was a “Jack of all trades and master of none” and would do anything for anyone. He loved hunting, fishing, and football but especially his Smoke. John made family a priority, raising two daughters and two grandsons. John will be remembered as a teacher to generation’s and loved by so many. He will be greatly missed.
John leaves behind two daughters, Jessica Abbott and Megan Abbott; and beloved niece, Margaret Dufield. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Shaun, Mason, Brayden, Sophia, Foster, Tracey, and Novalee; his former wife, Sherrie Abbott; sister, Cheryl Dufield; brother, Ray Dufield Sr.; nephew, Ray Dufield Jr.; cousin, Robin Flurry; siblings, Edward, Sandra, Harold, Ronkie, Diddi, Gary, Brenda and Micheal; as well as many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Benny.
Calling hours will be held for John at the Thibault-Neun funeral home 143 Franklin St., Franklin on Tuesday, November 22, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
