BELMONT — John Edward Hughes Jr., 77, of Bean Hill Road, passed away on Aug. 2, 2025, at Concord Hospital-Concord.
John was born on July 20, 1948, in Laconia, the son of the late John Edward Hughes Sr. and Vivan Agnes (Rockwell) Hughes.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and cars.
John is survived by his son John and his fiancée Jenelle; daughter Rebecca Hughes and her fiancé Mike; three grandchildren, Jason, Mackenzie and Marc; and three great-granddaughters. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his wife Pamela (LaRoche) Hughes.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Aug. 23, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
A graveside service will follow calling hours at Bayside Cemetery, Union Avenue, Laconia.
