TILTON — Helen Marie Morgan, 80, of Winter Street, passed away on Sept. 12, 2025, at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton.

Helen was born on June 12, 1945, in Laconia, the second daughter of Joseph and Albina (Plante) Morgan. Her sister, Lucille Ann, was born on Jan. 5, 1942. Helen graduated from Laconia High School in 1963.

On Dec. 3, 1965, Helen enlisted in the United States Women’s Army Corps, serving first as a dental specialist and emergency medical technician at Fitzsimmons General Hospital in Denver, Colorado, and later as an information journalist at Valley Forge General Hospital in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Helen used her medical technician skills to support staff at the Lakes Region General Hospital, the Belknap County Home, and to provide home health care to individual families.

Helen loved her faith and her church community. She participated in church activities, crocheted prayer shawls and made hundreds of rosaries for the missions. Helen assisted behind the scenes with the Bereavement and Coffee House Ministries. Helen was a dedicated member of the 33 Days to Morning Glory Cenacle Prayer Group for seven years. With her dear friend, Faith Levesque, Helen served her church for many years in overnight (11 p.m. to 6 a.m.) Adoration of Our Lord. You may remember seeing her with her beloved dog, Buffy.

Helen is survived by her nephews, Robert Morgan and his wife Lydia, James Taylor, and John Taylor, and nieces Becky Taylor Decato and Linda Taylor Terrazzino. In addition to her parents, Helen is predeceased by her sister, Lucille Morgan Taylor, and nephews David Taylor and Michael Dion.
