Conrad "CR" R. Noyes, 66
NORTHFIELD — Conrad "CR" Robert Noyes, 66, a resident of Northfield, died at his home Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, following a period of failing health, with family and friends at his side.
CR was born in Franklin, Dec. 31, 1949, son of the late Hilton F. and Natalie L. (Dorval) Noyes. He had lived in the Tilton-Northfield areas for most of his life.
He attended schools in Tilton and graduated from the Tilton-Northfield High School, class of 1967. He later studied at the Hesser College in Manchester for two years. Prior to retiring Conrad worked at the Johns Manville, Quin T and 3M in Tilton for more than 18 years.
He served with the Air Force for four years as a radio messenger and was discharged in 1974 with the rank of sergeant.
Conrad was a member of the Sons of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1698 in Franklin. CR was an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible outdoors, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Conrad was predeceased by an infant brother, Marvin Dorval.
He leaves his daughter, Sirena R. Noyes and her fiancé, Mark Bitetto of Sanbornton; brothers, Ernest F. Noyes and his wife Barbara of Concord, Douglas E. Noyes of Ashland, Kenneth W. Noyes of Tilton, Murray B. Noyes of Northfield; nieces and nephews; and his special friend and longtime companion Happy, his beagle.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Feb. 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. the State Veterans Cemetery, 110 D.W. Highway in Boscawen, with burial following.
