LACONIA — Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative, the resident theatre company of the Colonial Theatre in Laconia will host Building Choreo Confidence as the next in its series of workshops.  Instructor Jenna Rogato Romprey is ready to combine her expertise as a choreographer/dancer and a therapist to provide the opportunity for people to learn tips and tricks to build dance skills as well as confidence in learning choreography in a fun, supportive workshop.

The workshop runs Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Winnipesaukee Yacht Club in Gilford through July 29 (no class June 24).  Over six weeks attendees will learn three different combinations of movement that will resemble audition phrases, giving their brain and body the chance to practice learning and retaining new movement for the following week. This will be at a slow pace with individualized instruction when needed. No experience necessary.

Rogato Romprey is a longtime dancer/choreographer who has been choreographing shows at Powerhouse since it began.  She is also a performer who you may have seen dancing in Powerhouse productions such as “Tuck Everlasting,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and "A Christmas Carol.”
