At Sant Bani School, focus is on hands-on, project-based learning and time outdoors

 

SANBORNTON - Sant Bani School welcomes families interested in learning more about independent K-8 education to attend one or more of its upcoming admission events.

At the open house on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to noon, visitors will tour the campus, ask questions, and learn about the school's program that focuses on the whole child, hands-on, project-based learning and lots of time spent outdoors.

On Thursday, Nov. 3, from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., parents are invited to bring their pre-K to 2nd grade children to join during sharing time for grades K through 2 in the kindergarten classroom which includes a story read by a "mystery reader." A campus tour will follow the classroom activity.

On Monday, Nov., 14, from 3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., school-aged children are invited to participate in after school enrichment activities while parents take a campus tour. Children may choose from: Choice Time in the Kindergarten classroom (grades K-1); make objects that float, fly and zoom in Things That Fly! (grades 1-7); create flower arrangements, artwork and other decorations in Make It Beautiful (grades 1-7); make simple hand-sewing projects in Felt Craft (grades 3-7); and learn flow-style Yoga (grades 3-7).

Registration is requested for Oct. 22 and Nov. 3, and required for Nov. 14. Registration and more information available by calling the school or visiting santbani.org/hello.

Highlights of Sant Bani's program include small classes with strong, project-based academics; dedicated faculty who create authentic, mutually rewarding relationships with students; extended day enrichment, included in tuition, to better support working parents; Spanish instruction in all grades; hands-on outdoor exploration; and a modern campus surrounded by 200 acres of land. Bus routes extend to Concord, Plymouth, Andover and Gilford.
