LACONIA — The Lakes Region Creative Aging Center will host the last workshop in its gardening series for older adults 55 and older on Friday, May 4, in partnership with the UNH Garden Master’s Extension Program. Roz Mason will present his workshop on vegetable gardening from 10:30 a.m.-noon. The vegetable gardening presentation is about how to: develop a garden plan, choose a garden location, create a garden layout and get started! It also provides information on soil testing; seeds; plants; equipment and supplies; vegetable families; weeds; diseases and pests; and harvest and storage. It is designed for people who want to get into vegetable gardening for the first time and will also provide information that is useful for experienced gardeners.
