WOLFEBORO — The New Hampshire Boat Museum recently hosted a reception for local artist Marilyn Bodwell, whose work will be featured in the museum’s gallery throughout the month of June. A resident of Mirror Lake, Bodwell has painted in oils for 60 years.
“My subjects are varied with many of my commissions of homes and cottages in the Lakes Region,” she explained. “I also do seascapes, landscapes, florals and still lifes.”
As a former TWA Flight attendant, a private pilot and a sailor, Bodwell’s travels serve as inspiration for many of her paintings. Bodwell’s work is available for viewing with admission to NHBM, Thursday–Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday, noon-4 p.m. After June 19, the museum will be open six days a week, Tuesday-Saturday, and Sunday, same times.
