LACONIA — The Belknap County Democrats have organized a cleanup of some areas of downtown Laconia, to take place Sunday, April 18, starting at 11 am. Participants are asked to meet in the parking lot behind Wayfarers Coffee on Main St. Trash bags and gloves will be provided to all, as well as vests to those who want to wear them.
"Instead of complaining about everyone else, especially the homeless and those struggling with substance abuse, let's join together as a community and do something constructive. We can all be part of the solution."
The project welcomes everyone, from all political persuasions. As one of the organizers said, "a discarded beer can has no party loyalty."
