MEREDITH — Cat owners know their beloved little darlings are experts at finding ways to get into trouble. Whether people have a new kitten or an older cat that has been running their households for years, they can learn techniques to get their feline friends to behave better. Join certified Feline Training and Behavior Specialist Stephen Quandt live via Zoom at the Meredith Public Library or from home on Tuesday, July 16, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for his presentation titled: Decoding the Mysteries of Cats, or Why Cats Do What They Do.
Quandt has extensive experience as a cat behaviorist. He is the founder of Stephen Quandt Feline Behavior Associates, LLC. In his presentation, Quandt will cover topics such as: finding out the underlying causes of behaviors such as drive-by ankle biting, early morning wake-ups, play-aggression and their status with their favorite and least-favorite people. Attendees will learn about the relationship between hunger, appetite, metabolism and exercise to all of the problems listed above.
People should come prepared with questions about their cat’s behavior issues to find out from Quandt how to address them. Quandt describes his approach as a feline behavior consultant saying, “I believe in a compassionate, educational and non-judgmental approach to cat behavior and I believe in creating a happier world for cats and the humans who love them.”
