MEREDITH — Restoration Acres Farm is hosting a second annual back-to-school supply fundraiser. Last year, the team raised funds and resources to hand out 93 backpacks to local school kids and families. They hope to double that this year with the community’s help.
Katherine Sorell of Restoration Acres is partnering with community businesses to bring in the most help and resources for families in the community. Distribution will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Village at Paugus in Gilford. The event is planned with face painting and snacks.Â
The drive is in need of backpacks to be donated as well as school supplies. Visit restorationacresfarm.org to learn more about how to help. Community members can purchase backpacks or supplies from an Amazon wish list and have items directly shipped to the farm at 91 Corliss Hill Road in Meredith.
