BRISTOL — Pasquaney Garden Club will host its Annual Plant Sale on Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to noon behind the Minot-Sleeper Library in Bristol.

The sale primarily offers perennials dug from local gardens of members and friends. Divisions are also dug and potted from plantings in the Butterfly Garden behind Laconia Public Library. As in past years, the variety of plants will include some of the time tested favorites hardy to our area and some more unusual but proven successful with local gardeners.

Master gardeners and other club members will be available to answer questions and discuss plant choices for different garden conditions. Volunteers and plant donations are welcome. Plant donations may be brought to the sale Saturday, June 7, from 8 until 9 a.m.

Pasquaney Garden Club has been an active participant in the Newfound Area communities for over 50 years. The Annual Plant Sale is the primary fundraiser for many of the clubs programs and projects and the Club is happy to have the opportunity to offer their locally grown plants in return for the generous community support.

Services from local professionals have been contracted for mulch and wood chips to be used in the beds and paths of the Butterfly Garden and work days for club members and volunteers have begun.

The next gardening days at the Butterfly Garden are Wednesday, May 28, 9-11 a.m. to prepare transplants for the plant sale and Tuesday, June 10, 9-11 a.m. for general plant care there. Club members and volunteers will also participate in planting many of the public planters and small garden areas during the last week in May.
