GILFORD — The Opechee Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting Monday, May 5, at the Gilford Community Church Fellowship Hall. The doors open at noon, refreshments and a social opportunity at 12:30 p.m., then a brief business meeting followed by the guest speaker, Jane Raymond.

Raymond and her husband moved to Goffstown in 1982, acquiring a 5-acre property that had been neglected for many years. Those acres have been cleared, cleaned up and improved, and is now designated as a Pollinator Habitat and is also registered within the National Wildlife Federation as a certified Wildlife Habitat.

Raymond also manages a 100 acre wood lot, cares for her vegetable and flower garden, and has recently received an Advance Master Gardener certificate and is a frequent community speaker.
