LACONIA — Meredith Village Savings Bank invites the community to step back in time for “A Night in the '90s”, a special anniversary celebration honoring 35 years of New Beginnings Without Violence and Abuse’s dedicated service to survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Belknap County.

The event will take place on Friday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the historic Lakeport Opera House. Guests are invited to bring their 1990s nostalgia and celebrate three and a half decades of hope, healing, and community advocacy. Laconia’s premier record store, NH Vintage Vinyl, will be live on-site spinning iconic '90s tracks, and attendees are encouraged to wear their best '90s attire or costumes.

The evening will feature a silent auction with local items featuring an unforgettable two-and-a-half-hour helicopter ride from Laconia to the Maine coast and back with a stop for breakfast. This one-of-a-kind auction item has been donated by Jeremy Martin at Lakes Region Design, one of the event’s sponsors. A second amazing auction item features the rental of a country barn wedding venue in Meredith. Donated by the owners, Bill and Peg Moulton, the venue incudes flower gardens, a distillery and bar, and for an additional cost, the use of the farmhouse.

“For 35 years, New Beginnings has provided free, confidential support and resources to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking," said Executive Director Shauna Foster. “'A Night in the '90s' is not only a celebration of how far our community has come, but an opportunity to raise vital funds to ensure these life-saving services continue."

Tickets are available for purchase online at newbeginningsnh.org/a-night-in-the-90s.
