MOULTONBOROUGH — Representatives from Court Appointed Special Advocates presented at the Jan. 5 Moultonborough Women’s Club meeting. MWC members Susan LaFlamme and Tina Middlebrook, explained the role of court advocates for abused and neglected kids.

Extensively trained and highly respected by judges in district and family courts statewide, each CASA volunteer becomes the voice in court for a child seeking a safe and permanent home. According to CASA of NH staff, 38 CASA volunteers currently cover 40 cases, serving 64 NH children.

For MWC’s February meeting, members will have a Galentine Tea Party complete with fancy teacups, valentine colors, and activities to foster camaraderie, laughter and joy. The speaker will be Moultonborough Library Director Brittany Durgin.
