MOULTONBOROUGH — Protection from sophisticated scams and fraud is more important than ever. To help the community stay informed, the Moultonborough Public Library is partnering with AARP and the Moultonborough Police Department to host a crucial fraud prevention presentation as part of the AARP Fraud Tour.
The free program, titled “The Scam Landscape: Staying Safe,” will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 6 p.m. at the library.
Scammers are constantly developing new ways to target consumers, and the financial and emotional impact can be devastating. This essential presentation, delivered by an AARP representative, is designed to arm attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to spot and avoid the latest criminal tactics.
Attendees will learn about current fraud trends, scammer tactics, prevention strategies, and available resources.
AARP is dedicated to empowering people 50 and older to choose how they live as they age. The AARP Fraud Watch Network offers free tips and resources to help people spot and avoid scams.
