MEREDITH — Mica’s Groove Train, a funk, blues, and R&B quartet, will play at The Loft at Hermit Woods on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 6 p.m. The quartet features the vocals of singer-songwriter Yamica Peterson. Nominated for New England Music Awards 2019’s "Best Soul/R&B Act," this ensemble has a tight and funky rhythm section combined with tasty guitar virtuosity that creates an amazing backdrop for the incomparable vocals of Peterson. Chris Mega opens the show on piano.
