LACONIA — Belknap Mill will host a brainstorming night for those children ages 4-14 and their families on Wednesday, June 29 from 5:30-7 p.m. This is an opportunity for children to hear from local business owners and do brainstorming sessions on different business ideas, how to market, how to price your product, how to talk to customers and other tips.
There will be a panel of local entrepreneurs to answer questions and inspire the next generation of business owners. Included on the panel will be Jim Daubenspeck from Daub’s Cobbler Shop, Nick Trudel from Edward Jones, Cindy Theriault with Balanced Interiors and Shirley Freeman with SnoWater properties.
This Launch Night is to prepare children for a one-day marketplace where every booth will be run by young entrepreneurs (Biz Fair is on Aug. 6). It is amazing to see what children can do when adults take a step back. This event is FREE and open to the public.
Children will create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at this one-day marketplace on Saturday, Aug. 6. The children are responsible for the setup, sales and interacting with customers, and any parent seen selling to the customer or promoting the children’s product will result in disqualification from the competition.
This event is sponsored by Acton Academy NH, the Acton School of Business, R2 Property Management, SnoWater Properties, Northway Bank, and the Legacy Group.
Your child can sign up for a booth at: www.ChildrensBusinessFairNH.org.
