LACONIA — The Laconia Historical & Museum Society will kick off a year-long celebration honoring Laconia's rich Irish heritage with an Irish Brew Tasting event. Join the historical society and event sponsor Franklin Savings Bank from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, at Defiant Records & Craft Beer, on Main Street.

Prepare to indulge in some of Ireland's finest beers and ciders, provided by Amoskeag Beverages. Additionally, the event will feature food pairings from Laconia Village Bakery, designed to complement the beverages and enhance the overall experience.

Enjoy an afternoon of lively Irish music, trivia, raffles and delicious flavors while supporting a worthy cause. Proceeds from this event will support the Protect the Collections campaign, helping to fund a new roof for the historical society building at 65 Water St.

Tickets include one pint, two raffle tickets, a bag of Taytos potato chips directly from Ireland, the tastings and pairings. Come to celebrate, enjoy great company, and play a vital role in preserving local history.
