Gilford opens basketball registration, plans Halloween and trick-or-treating activities

GILFORD — Registration is open for the 2025-26 Gilford Parks and Recreation Youth Basketball Program. This program is open to all Gilford students in first through sixth grades. The registration deadline for all participants is Friday, Nov. 7.

The department will also host its annual Halloween Happenings on Friday, Oct. 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Gilford Middle School Gym and Cafeteria. This fun-filled event is open to all Gilford children up through sixth grade. Activities will include giveaways, the Monster Mash Raffle, a costume contest, and a variety of Halloween games. Cupcake decorating and Halloween crafts will also be available in the cafeteria.

The Gilford Police Department has set trick-or-treating in Gilford for Friday, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m. During these hours, Belknap Mountain Road will be closed from Potter Hill Road to the Imagination Station Parking Lot at the Gilford Elementary School. Parking will be at the school.
