Family Promise of the Lakes Region anticipates Sept. launch

Family Promise of the Lakes Region recently hired Hannah Marquis as its new program director. Earlier this year, FPLR began operations by hiring Executive Director Nicole Shedd and establishing its Board of Directors. With the addition of Marquis, the organization reaches another important milestone in building the foundation of services that will support Lakes Region families through prevention, shelter, and stabilization.

FPLR is in the final stages of preparing for its Sept. 14 launch, when the organization will begin providing services focused on preventing and ending homelessness among families with children and helping families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.

As program director, Marquis will play a critical role in advancing this mission and ensuring families receive the support they need during challenging times. She brings experience working with several New Hampshire education nonprofits, where she led social media and marketing initiatives, student support programs, and community outreach efforts. Marquis holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of business administration from Colby-Sawyer College.

“Hannah’s selection as program director is an exciting step forward for Family Promise of the Lakes Region as we continue to build a strong foundation from which to serve our community,” said Executive Director Nicole Shedd. “We are looking forward to launching our services in September and beginning this important work alongside our community partners. I want to thank everyone who has joined us in this mission. We are excited about what lies ahead.”

In the coming months, Family Promise of the Lakes Region will share updates and announcements as it continues building its programs, partnerships, and services. Shedd and Marquis look forward to establishing this work and supporting families throughout the Lakes Region.
