TAMWORTH — This year's Dana Steele Mountain Tennis fundraiser supporting Advantage Kids Tennis and Yoga was held recently in Tamworth and North Sandwich. Over 40 players from across New Hampshire participated generating over $5,000 to support free after school programs for children ages 7-14.

Donna Paradise of Jackson won the women's division and John Tansman also of Jackson was the men's champion. Linda Iselborn and Dave Mitchell were runners-up in the doubles scramble format. The event is named in honor of former Cranmore Pro and local tennis legend Dana Steele.

In the past 4 years, over 200 children in the Lakes Region have participated in this acclaimed U.S. Tennis Association National Junior Tennis and Learning program focusing on fitness, sportsmanship, growth and collaboration.
