LACONIA — On Aug. 26, Alexis Wallace took on her seventh Annual Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance Swim. She was joined by a number of like-minded swimmers circumnavigating Paugus Bay to preserve the quality of the lake.
For more than seven years, Wallace has combined her passion for swimming with her love of Lake Winnipesaukee, raising awareness and support for protecting the lake for future generations through donations to the LWA, which she believes is the premier agency protecting the lake quality.
The swim began at the Margate Resort at 7 a.m. The swimmers made a loop around Big and Little Islands before returning to the resort.
Her efforts can still be supported. Donations can be made to her campaign at sbrew.link/r1zCPhH3.
