PLYMOUTH — Tuftonboro is the next community to have access to NH Broadband’s state-of-the-art fiber optic network as high-speed, reliable internet continues to expand across New Hampshire’s Lakes Region.
NH Broadband, a wholly-owned subsidiary of New Hampshire Electric Co-op, constructed over 1,100 miles of its fiber network in 2024, connecting Meredith and Moultonborough. Tuftonboro is next to access high-speed fiber beginning in April.
“I am very proud of our team’s commitment to bring high-speed internet, a critical service in today’s world, to tens of thousands of people who currently don’t have reliable or affordable internet service. Because of its member focus, the Co-op is a brand people trust. We are bringing that same dedication to those we serve through NH Broadband so people know that we – their locally-based internet services provider – will deliver reliable and affordable broadband,” said Michael Jennings, interim President & CEO of the Co-op.
