PLYMOUTH — Circle Program recently hired Maggie McGovern as its new communications & development manager. With a strong background in nonprofit development and a deep passion for empowering young women, she will play a vital role in strengthening Circle’s mission and expanding its impact.

Circle Program is a nonprofit dedicated to helping girls, teens, and young women in New Hampshire build self-confidence, resilience, and leadership skills through mentorships, summer camps, and monthly experiences. By providing year-round support, the program creates a safe and encouraging environment where participants can grow, discover their strengths, and realize their full potential.

A native of Hooksett, McGovern earned her bachelor’s degree in Sport Management and her master’s degree in business management from Southern New Hampshire University. For the past seven years, she has worked in development and admissions at Waterville Valley BBTS, a nonprofit Snowsports academy and club. She has also spent eight years coaching youth alpine ski racing, primarily working with kids aged 8 to 14. Her experience mentoring young athletes and fostering their growth makes her a natural fit for the Circle Program’s work.

Her love for the outdoors and passion for guiding young people extends beyond her professional life. Whether she’s coaching on the slopes, hiking with her dog, or spending time by the lake with family, she understands firsthand the power of nature in building confidence, resilience, and connection—values that are at the heart of Circle Program’s mission.

"I am thrilled to join the Circle Program and its amazing team," said Maggie. "I am passionate about empowering young women to reach their full potential, and I am grateful and eager for this opportunity."
