NASA captured the "brilliant golden galaxies" in a galaxy cluster called MACS J0454.1-0300.

Each image contains X-ray data from Chandra that has been collected across the observatory's decades in space.

Messier 64 earned its nickname because of a dark band of absorbing dust in front of its eye-like bright nucleus.
