Donald Trump became rich and famous beyond imagination while more than one million Americans, many of them elderly, died. Donald Trump and Republicans failed to provide guidance during a crucial period in history. Businesses were lost and people died alone while Dr. Anthony Fauci was more interested in golf and his fame. Donald Trump had the opportunity to ask why there was no clear direction advocated by the CDC. People were left to avoid their loved ones and children, who are very resilient to viruses, were told to stay home for months.
Donald Trump's messages were cruel and unnecessary. I have been a lifelong Republican, but after how badly Republicans handled the COVID-19 pandemic, I left the party. Donald Trump and Republicans were not interested in helping Americans and for this reason, we should not elect Republicans to lead this country.
