Russ Wiles: Thawing the national perception of recent ICE-capades

Jon Paul claims the reason that the public's growing negative perception of law enforcement is due to ICE. So the whole "defund the police" movement and the complicit legacy media outlets biased reporting of police shootings has nothing to do with this perception?

Down the memory hole it went. Soft on crime policies in Democrat-run cities that curtail police enforcement is another issue that academia and the legacy media try to minimize.

This just in: A female Loyola University student was just gunned down on Saturday. We love Chicago, that "toddlin' town, run by Democrats for nearly a century. Mayor Brandon Johnson and his apparent desire to be more progressive than Lori Lightfoot ran on defunding the police, as did Gov. JB Pritzker. Add on sanctuary cities that curb ICE efforts to arrest criminal illegal immigrants. Add on Democrat mayors like Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Gov. Tim Walz who ordered the local police to stand down rather than provide "non-violent conflict resolution, de-escalation tactics and proper use of force" as Mr. Paul mentioned that ICE was not good at and poorly trained to do. They were not supposed to be handling street activists that were assaulting them, doxxing them and interfering with ICE operations. Democrats left the border wide open while telling us it was secure and now they lament that the GOP is not removing the criminals the correct way.

According to Jon Paul, ICE agents were Jan. 6 insurrectionists, skinheads and mercenaries, among other degrading references. He also asserted that their mission was to "detain as many dark skinned people as possible." Could it be because the 12-20 million mostly unvetted illegal immigrants were not from Scandinavian countries and were not white Protestant Anglo-Saxons? Jon appears to be looking forward to when the Democrats regain control and those unprincipled ICE agents will get hauled into court.
