To The Daily Sun,

I wrote a letter back in 2011 questioning why two representatives from the Southern Poverty Law Center were allowed to speak at the Laconia middle and high schools about tolerance and inclusion. It was known back then that they would include conservative and Christian groups on their "hate map" along with actual white supremacist groups. The Laconia Human Rights Committee invited Lecia Brooks and Michele March Garcia of the SPLC to spend a couple days discussing this important issue. Why would they pick this group to discuss these issues, I asked in my letter to the editor.

Their hypocritical and paradoxical chickens have come home to roost now that they are being indicted for allegedly funding hate groups they purport to fight against to the tune of $3 million. My letter mentioned Morris Dees and his checkered past. Daniel Greenfield noted Dees' complicated relationship with the KKK in his column in Front Page Magazine. When the lie that KKK groups were still influential began dying on the vine, they switched to going after religious and conservative groups, posting them on their ridiculously biased "hate map." David Horowitz and Daniel Greenfield were put on that map because they voiced concerns about the dangers of Communism and Marxism. Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council and most recently, Turning Point USA were posted on SPLC's hideous map.

This invitation to discuss the evils of hate and bigotry was prompted in part by the attempted assassination of Gabrielle Giffords. Charlie Kirk was successfully assassinated just a few months after TPUSA was placed on SPLC's "hate map." I wonder what organization the Laconia Human Rights Committee will pick to have open discussions about, on the current state of antisemitic and anti-Christian bigotry. The SPLC's hoax that bigotry and hate against Black people is the biggest existential threat to our livelihood is the nonprofit's version of the Jessie Smollett hoax, is it not?
