Ronnie Abbott: Entering politics to ensure D.C. choices don't devastate NH lives

There are numerous motivations driving my candidacy for a position as one of your representatives in Concord. Let me begin by sharing how I became involved in politics.

I've always been an observer of the political landscape, but my journey took a significant turn about two months before the onset of COVID-19. At that time, I invested my life savings into launching a business, aspiring to pursue a career as a photographer. However, when the pandemic hit, the government deemed my profession non-essential, causing my business to collapse, and wiping out everything I had saved. Despite this setback, my passion for the art remained, leading me to attend political events where my brother, a former state representative, was present, to hone my photography skills.

As I immersed myself in observing the happenings in D.C., my frustration grew. I realized I was among countless individuals who had suffered significant losses due to decisions made at the federal level. Instead of giving in to despair, I continued my photography endeavors while also actively engaging in political discourse. Now, I've made the decision to enter the political arena to ensure that the detrimental choices made in DC do not further devastate lives here in New Hampshire. Our senators and representatives serve as the final barrier against such policies, and I am prepared to step forward and safeguard the interests of our state.

Moreover, I am committed to serving as a conduit for your voices in Concord. Too often, individuals pursue political roles for personal gain or ulterior motives. My sole objective is to ensure that every voice is heard and to prevent more people from experiencing the hardships inflicted by misguided policies.

My personal stance is firmly pro-constitution and anti-spending.
