Richard Littlefield: Now the world waits for Iran's eventual response

When Iranians scream "Death to America" I truly believe that is exactly what they mean.

The new narrative is that chant doesn't really mean death to Americans, but death to American capitalism, death to our constitutional republic, death to America's superiority in the world.

It wasn't long ago that President Barack Obama normalized giving Iran, a major state sponsor of terror, billions of dollars to be used as they saw fit.

President Joe Biden continued that tradition.

I believe that if Ali Khamenei and his missiles could reach the American mainland we would be dealing with a major civilian tragedy, caused by two sides who don't care to negotiate a mutually successful deal.

President Donald Trump, just a few hours ago (as of June 21) decimated any future Iran believed it would have as a nuclear power in the Middle East.

It was once said that Saddam Hussein had "weapons of mass destruction" in Iraq, and that turned out to be a lie.

We know that Iran had a handful of nuclear capable/enrichment sites. Were they really two weeks from successfully creating a nuclear bomb? Are we going to find out in 20 years that we were fed another lie?

I'm not going to attempt to venture a guess.

Before radical ideology and leaders like the Ayatollah, Iran was a country full of great beauty and traditions, and the Iranian people were happy.

While I do not support forced regime change, I do support the innocent and neglected Iranians craving freedoms, taking back their own country without intervention from the conflict opportunists in Washington, D.C.

Now the world waits for Iran's eventual response.

Move forward as one.
