Rep. John Sellers: Take children out of school before they learn wellness instead of God

The social emotional learning program is the new Pied Piper of education which is leading your children astray. SEL is a program to help your children cope with everyday social, emotional and behavioral issues, but there’s issues with the program. You need to do some research on SEL to see the good if any and not ignore the bad and ugly which will last a lifetime.

The K-12 SEL experiment is stealing the mind of your children, manipulating them into the person SEL programming wants them to be. Your children are being trained and thought of as a communal instead of an individual. They are using school staff who don’t have a degree in psychology. 

Data is being collected with or maybe without parents' knowledge via surveys and assessments (parents should pay attention to these). These assessments ask personal questions of your child and family. Those parental rights/consent forms you sign are not fully protecting your child’s personal data that could still be collected by software vendors.

SEL is getting into your child’s psyche using coercive techniques, nudging them into thinking what is right and wrong behavior. Teach your child that God is real, SEL may suggest otherwise. If you teach family values are this or that, SEL may push your child into thinking something else, causing family and parental distrust.

Schools are doing more than ABC’s and 123’s with your child. Watch closely to the school’s wellness policy, which is going far beyond nutrition, phys-ed and school building health. It now reaches into mental health and psychological care. All seems nice, but SEL is there to manipulate your child’s mind.

It may be time to get your child out of public schools, many students are failing reading and math anyway.
