Len Hanley: This reader will not apologize for past letters published

In some of my past letters, there have been some response letters and comments from obvious atheists and trolls who wrote with a condescending posturing of sorts, as if I was to feel intimidated to apologize for what I wrote, which I do not and will not despite their best, albeit weak, efforts.

Congratulations, though, if their goal is to be an angry, vitriolic atheist, they nailed it. But their efforts are ineffective at best, as with the paid protesters. It's amusing how atheists call the Bible a fairytale and yet it upsets them to see students or others reading it or books based on it in public schools, libraries or other public places. Just ask Kirk Cameron.

In over 50 countries, millions of Christians are jailed, murdered and tortured for their faith, and here in the U.S. we also face attacks on our faith, though not life threatening.

If Christianity was so easy to end, why has it persisted for over 2,000 years despite the best efforts of those who despise it? In the U.S., 66% of the population, that is 220 million, remains Christian, and 31.5% of the world, or 2.5 billion, also remains Christian. Our Pledge of Allegiance, currency, Liberty Bell, all 50 State Constitutions, and more all mention God. How is it the bestselling book of all time is the Christian Bible? The total number probably lies between 5 and 7 billion copies, and Bibles are printed at a rate of around 80 million per year.

Go ahead and write more responses and letters to prove me right, just like reader's do Jesus Christ who said people like them would hate Him and us.
