Hunter Taylor: We are all still waiting for the release of the Epstein files

For years, Donald Trump and MAGA supporters claimed a coverup regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking ring. Epstein died in jail, and Ghislaine Maxwell, his partner in crime, was convicted and is currently serving a 20-year sentence.

One question is whether the girls exploited by Epstein and Maxwell were made available to others to abuse? Many of the victims have indeed stated that this was the case.

After Trump took office in 2025, Attorney General Pam Bondi stated on Fox News that an “Epstein client list” was on her desk. We were finally going to learn the truth. Despite that announcement, no list was released. In July, the Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had been informed in May that his name appeared “in the Epstein files.”

The Justice Department then released a memo contradicting the attorney general, stating that no incriminating “client list” had been found.

Next, Maxwell was interviewed over a course of two days by long-time Trump personal lawyer Todd Blanche, now the second ranking member of the Department of Justice. Maxwell described Trump as a “gentleman,” “cordial,” and “kind.” She supposedly never witnessed him in “any inappropriate setting.”

Following her interview, Maxwell was transferred from a regular federal prison in Florida, to a country club-type facility in Texas.

Even ardent Trump supporters do not want sex traffickers like Maxwell to be coddled and even possibly pardoned. Yet Trump and his inner circle have switched their tune and flipped into protection mode. Protection for whom? Maybe start with the revolting Epstein birthday book, with its crude drawings, photos, and messages, showing that Epstein’s circle knew what he was doing.

We all still await release of the full Epstein files, without redactions except the identity of minors.

The exploited deserve justice, and the public deserves the truth.
