Bob LaFlamme: Let’s examine a few of Donald Trump’s general low points

There is a sign on a tree near my home that says, "Trump Was Right About Everything." It has been there for well over a year and the longer it stays up, the more obvious it becomes that President Donald Trump wasn't right about anything. Let's take a look at some lowlights:

Tariffs and the economy: The promise was to bring prices down on day one, these taxes that we consumers pay are making prices higher and causing farmers and small businesses to go bankrupt. Affordability is not a Democratic hoax.

Immigration: Arresting and deporting criminals, in some of the most cruel and illegal ways? The vast majority of those arrested are law-abiding refugees who have broken no other law than trying to earn a better life ― The American Dream. How about the people who went through the process of becoming U.S. citizens and were arrested on their way to the ceremony?

Capt. Pete Hegseth Secretary of Defense: Really?

Venezuela: Blowing up boats suspected of carrying drugs is a war crime. If the mission is to get dangerous drugs off American streets, why then, did Trump pardon the former president of Honduras who was convicted of smuggling tons of cocaine into our country?

The White House: If you wanted proof of Trump's acting like a king, just look at the damage that he has done to the nation's most revered building in order to make it into his palace.

A recent poll showed that a growing majority of Americans are unhappy with Trump and his cabinet who make life more difficult and our country less safe with every passing day. The public is turning against Trump but will it be soon enough to save our country?

I can only hope.
