To The Daily Sun,
Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the individuals and caregivers who supported our loved one — and our family — during the final weeks of his life.
We are incredibly thankful for the compassion and care provided by Concord Hospital-Laconia Palliative Care. Dr. Crosby’s honesty, presence, and compassion brought comfort and peace during the most difficult moments we have ever faced. Her nurse Mary was always kind, responsive, and reassuring. Together they provided care that meant everything to our family.
Choosing Lakes Region VNA for hospice care was a decision we very grateful for. Our nurse Becken, along with LNAs Abby and Terry, provided outstanding care that brought comfort, dignity, and peace into our home. Betsy, the social worker, ensured we had everything we needed and handled the many details and paperwork, lifting an enormous burden from our family.
Most importantly, we would like to recognize Martha the nurse practitioner from Lakes Region VNA & Hospice who provided exceptional care of our loved one in our home, treating him with kindness, patience, and deep respect. Her dedication and compassion never wavered. In addition to the care she gave him, Martha was also there for us — offering steady support, honesty, and comfort during the hardest moments. She truly was our rock.
Our family will always be grateful to these incredible professionals for the care, dignity, and compassion they provided. Their work matters, and we hope this letter serves as a small way to say thank you.
