The deadline to change party affiliation for the September primary in New Hampshire is less than a week away.

Registered voters can change their affiliation at their city or town clerk's office by June 2.

After the deadline, registered Democrats will be able to vote only in the Democratic primary and registered Republicans will be be able to vote only in the Republican primary. Undeclared voters can vote in either.

To check voter registration and party affiliation, people can visit the Secretary of State's voter information lookup page at app.sos.nh.gov.

Undeclared voters automatically register as members of the party whose primary they choose to vote in. They have the option to switch back to undeclared before leaving the polling place.

The State Primary Election will take place on Sept. 8.
