Staff photographer and reporter Daniel Sarch documented the life of the many communities in the Lakes Region through politics, local and breaking news, and features, whether it was the presidential primary in January, the solar eclipse in April, or community-led efforts like the Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction. Sarch chose 12 photos based on their impact, and news and aesthetic merit. Reporter and editor Adam Drapcho made a guest appearance in March, when Sarch was off the beat due to an injury.
