BELMONT — A vehicle hit a motorcycle on Sunday afternoon, sending the motorcyclist to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

At about 1:12 p.m. on June 21, the Belmont Fire Department responded to an accident involving a motorcycle and a sedan on Laconia Road, at the Circle K convenience store.

“The preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle collided with a sedan that was turning into the business,” Fire Chief Donald Pickowicz said on Monday.

One patient was evaluated and taken to Concord Hospital-Concord for treatment of injuries "suspected to be non-life-threatening," according to Assistant Fire Chief Matt Famolare.

No injuries were reported by the vehicle driver. Police Chief Stephen Akerstrom said no charges have been filed in the accident.

Police and emergency personnel were busy throughout last week with the influx of people into the area for Laconia Motorcycle Week and the summer months, but Akerstrom said despite a lot of traffic, there have been no major issues.

“Nothing out of the ordinary.”
