Health care and addiction

There are few issues that have cut deeper across party lines in New Hampshire than the opioid epidemic. 

Expansion of Medicaid has been one of the most useful tools in fighting  the opioid crisis. While continuing to support this program, we need to focus on preventative measures in addition to treatment to stop.

Broadband

Rural “broadbandification” has become a term to describe the final buildout of broadband internet to those “last mile” New Hampshire homes and businesses. These customers were on the short end of the stick when towns individually contracted with companies that left hundreds of residences in the dark. As someone who worked in the Information Technology field, I know how crucial it is for small businesses to have access to reliable broadband Internet and cell coverage. Quality coverage should be available to ALL Granite Staters regardless of zip code.

Education

All four of my children attended Plymouth public schools, with my oldest daughter graduating from Plymouth Regional High School in June. I support investing in public education and oppose putting any public money toward private schools.

A strong education starts early. We need to diversify how we’re funding pre-K through 12 education so we aren’t solely relying on property taxes. This will reduce the burden on taxpayers in case of budget emergency, and ensure a more consistent education for our children.

Women's health

As a public health employee, father, and husband, I understand and support the importance of protecting women’s health.I commend the passage of bipartisan measures like SB 421 (2018), that increase a woman’s access to affordable healthcare in the Granite State.Our government needs to do more to protect survivors of sexual assault and respect their privacy. I believe New Hampshire needs to protect survivors by passing Marsy’s Law in the Granite State. If elected to the senate, I would proudly support Marsy’s Law and vote for it to become law.
