Everybody get up! Season 2 of the rebooted Hollywood Squares is in full swing. Previous host Tom Bergeron will return in an upcoming episode, as well as a few new names and returnees. He was the host of the game show from 1998 to 2004.
Hollywood Squares was revived by CBS in 2025, after two iterations of the show — the first in 1966 and then again in 1998. Here’s everything you need to know about Hollywood Squares Season 2, including when you can expect it to return, who will host, and who will appear.
When does Hollywood Squares Season 2 air?
Season 2 of Hollywood Squares returned on Wednesday, January 7 at 8/7c. The episodes will continue to air at that day and time until March 18, when it moves to 10:30 due to Survivor.
What is Hollywood Squares about?
Hollywood Squares is a game show where two contestants compete in a game of tic-tac-toe to win cash and prizes. A celebrity will give an answer, and the contestant has to agree or disagree with them, and if they are right, they get that square. The first player to get a tic-tac-toe or five squares wins. Every episode, there is a secret square. If they are picked and the question is answered correctly, the contestant wins a trip.
Who stars in Hollywood Squares?
Former football player Nate Burleson will return as host. Drew Barrymore, who was the center square in most of the Season 1 episodes, is also returning. The celebrities change every episode, with a few recurring. This season will have over 70 celebrities trying to get contestants to win $25,000.
The celebrities so far this season have included Anthony Anderson, Glenn Close, Kat Dennings, Fortune Feimster, comedian Zarna Garg, Jay Mohr, Padma Lakshmi, Joel McHale, Ariana Debose, Arsenio Hall, Whitney Cummings, Tiffany Haddish, Pete Holmes, Lil Rel Howery, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Leslie Jones, Jo Koy, Ross Mathews, Ms. Pat, RuPaul, Michelle Buteau, Ana Gasteyer Janelle James, Method Man, Bobby Moynihan, Tig Notaro, Paul Scheer, Ron Funches, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Niecy Nash‑Betts, Boston Rob Mariano, David Arquette, Mark Duplass, Thomas Lennon, and Ryan Fitzpatrick.
The celebrities in the squares on the upcoming episodes will be Tichina Arnold, Buteau, Tony Hawk, Triumph, James, Notaro, Chris Redd, and Scheer on March 25.
Arnold, Buteau, Method Man, Triumph, Janelle James, Notaro, Redd, and Scheer will appear on the April 8 episode. Arnold, Gasteyer, Howery, Lennon, Tim Meadows, Redd, Jason Ritter, and Kristen Schaal will be on the April 15 episode.
April 22 will feature Cummings, Duplass, Gasteyer, Haddish, Triumph, Jones, Lennon, Howie Mandel, and Mathews.
Bergeron returns on April 29 with Neal Brennan, Cummings, Debose, Duplass, Hall, Haddish, and Ms. Pat.
The May 6 episode will have Buteau, Dennings, Haddish, Holmes, Lennon, Moynihan, Law Roach, and Meghan Trainor. As always, Barrymore remains the center square.
