CAMPTON — Catherine Lucy Gravelle, 81, of Campton, passed away peacefully on Jan. 6, 2026.
Catherine was born on Aug. 8, 1944, in Houlton, Maine, the daughter of Alphie and Althea (Kelly) Gravelle.
As a devoted homemaker, Catherine found immense joy in creating a nurturing and loving environment for her family. She also volunteered as a school aide, and did bookkeeping for Ike Barton Construction.
Catherine is survived by a son, Leavitt “Ike” J. Barton Jr. and his wife Nadine Barton of Belmont; seven brothers, two sisters; grandchildren Jeremy Barton and Britany Barton, and great-grandchildren Christopher Barton and Michael Barton. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Leavitt J. Barton Sr., two brothers and one sister.
Memorial calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, in the Carriage House at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
A celebration of life in honor of Catherine will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Plymouth Elks, 1159 New Hampshire Route 175, Holderness.
Catherine’s love will continue to inspire those she leaves behind, and her memory will be cherished forever. In this time of sorrow, we invite all who loved her to join us in celebrating a remarkable life well-lived.
