BELMONT — Anita Filixne McKeown, 88, of Gaudet Drive, passed away at home on Dec. 19, 2025.

Anita was born on Sept. 12, 1937, in Laconia, the daughter of Charles and Aurore (Dagberger) Bolduc.

She trained and raced horses for New Hampshire fairs. She enjoyed sled dog racing with her niece and nephew Tyga and Pepsi. Anita was musher queen in 1963. She worked at Sam’s Market, volunteered at Bolduc Park and spent time working on Charles Bolduc’s farms.

Anita is survived by her brothers Ernest Bolduc and Robert Bolduc; sisters Teresa, Loretta, Barbara and Helene and her husband Paul; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anita is predeceased by her beloved husband, Normand McKeown, who passed on June 5, 2025, and her brothers, Kenneth, Roland, Charles, Maurice, Father Hector, Armand and Hector.

There will be no calling hours.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at St. Joseph Parish, 96 Main St.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations in Anita’s name be made to Bolduc Park Association, P.O. Box 7273, Laconia, NH 03246, or to Franklin VNA & Hospice, 75 Chestnut St., Franklin, NH 03235.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Franklin VNA & Hospice for their caring support during Anita’s final day.
